Volume 1, Issue 2                                                                                                                                   June 2007

Text Box: As you are probably aware, our 11th Annual Feast in Honor of St. Theresa is quickly approaching. This year it will be held from July 25th to the 29th. Games, rides, & great food – our indoor casino – a flea market - religious observances each night – our procession through the neighborhood with the statue of St. Theresa - nightly entertainment - and much, much more. Five days of fun & activity for the entire family. So keep the dates open, & tell your family & friends.  This year we have decided to keep you informed primarily through the use of these newsletters. Every few weeks you will find one of these publications in the bulletin. In it we will highlight various aspects of our Feast.

PARISH AFGHAN –
Our annual feast is beginning its 2nd decade. With that in mind the Feast Committee decided to start a new tradition that many of our parishioners can get involved in. They opted to initiate The Parish Afghan Throw. This Throw will be raffled off at our feast with the proceeds going to the School Principal to begin a Feast Scholarship Fund.
Parishioners that can knit or crochet are asked to knit or crochet, in their favorite color, an 8” x 8” square using 4-ply worsted weight acrylic yarn. This square is to be brought to the rectory weekdays, or brought to the raffle table outside of Church at any weekend Mass. A fellow parishioner will then assemble all of the squares into The Parish Afghan Throw. If will then be raffled-off at our feast. One lucky family will have the privilege of winning & taking home the 1st annual St. Theresa Afghan. We ask that all squares
get dropped off before July 2nd.
